Hope this communication finds everyone well. We enter the weekend and less than a month away before the FOOTHILLS ATV RIDERS INC. trail system shuts down for hunting season on October 1, 2025, until Dec 31, 2025, at 1159pm. There are places that remain open. Locations in the Vermont ATV Sportsman’s Association Inc. (VASA) system remain open, check their website for closing dates. Hilltown Rides OHV Club are open year around. If you would like to learn more, privately message me.
FINALLY: I feel confident enough to say our Mobile App site is a mirror image of the web browser image that can be accessed in two ways. From your mobile device, using your web browser (DUCKDUCKGO most secure) of your choice or using the Club Express App. that you can download in both Android & iOS format from your app store. So I received a message yesterday from a landowner that some machines were on his property at Lily Pond. The area which these machines were on can be seen in the attached photo. This area & the area around Lily Pond is posted and off limits and no ATV's are allowed. You may see tracks but the club is not authorized to enter any part of this property. There are cameras monitoring this area, please do not enter, they will have photos and call the State Police.

James E. "Jim" Oudekerk Sr. April 29, 1945 - September 19, 2025

James E. "Jim" Oudekerk Sr. Obituary Moreau
James E. “Jim” Oudekerk Sr., 80, passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2025.
Born on April 29, 1945, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Edward and Rita (St. John) Oudekerk.
Jim graduated from Glens Falls High School in 1963. Following graduation Jim enlisted into the United States
Navy and served aboard the U.S.S. Independence (CV62) from 1963 till 1967 in the Mediterranean and the Gulf
of Tonkin during the Viet Nam War.
He started his career at Hercules and then went on to become a millwright at Finch Pruyn in Glens Falls until his retirement in 2006.
Jim enjoyed being outdoors whether it was boating or riding his quad with the Foothills ATV Riders Club. Left to cherish his memory include his children, along with several nephews, aunts. At Jim’s request there will be no calling hours. A full military service will be conducted at 12pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery,

Moving To This New Website

A few days ago the Foothills ATV Riders Inc. new website on Club Express went live and is open for business. It's not going be long and we will be shutting the old site down. SO for our current club members head on over and get and get your applications filled out. We have gone digital with the application process. First on the list is getting the current members processed. You can be ready to ride the trails within 24 hours of completing the process, so what are you waiting for. Here are some things to know moving forward. ALL MEMBERS MUST COMPLETE THE NEW MEMBER SIGNUP. If you try to click on Member login, it's not going to work. No information from this website has been transferred to our new home. We are creating a digital membership data base moving forward. WHAT INFORMATION IS REQUIRED? SSL Certificate

Here is an update regarding the clubs URL'S. We have purchased SSL Certificates for foothillsatvriders.net & foothillsatvrider.com. The URL fatvr.clubexpress works as well and also has an SSL Certificate. All links to the Foothills ATV Riders Inc website are secure. This should ease the minds of those who were sceptical.

2025 Riding Season Update

✅ Insurance & Landowner List
We’re fully insured, and our landowner list has been updated. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make that happen!
🛣️ Trail Status: Southern Trails (south of the Firehouse): Now OPEN- YOU MAY RIDE IF WE HAVE ALL YOUR PAPERWORK ON FILE- keep reading for details.
Northern Trails: Still closed. Some sections have been lost, and the trail remains broken. We’re working on solutions and will share updates as soon as we can.
🚧 Temporary Closure on the Southern Train: The section between Burch Road and Washburn Hill Road is closed but re-routed. It’s extremely muddy—please do not enter. Use the road as a detour (see attached pictures for guidance).
🅿️ Parking Parking remains a challenge: Do NOT Park at the Firehouse until further notice. The only approved parking at this time is in the only approved parking at this time is in the field across from Roy Kelly’s property—where we host Mud Run-Old Castle Green Lane
